There are many ways to set up a blog. I decided to go the easy way: Blogger Beta. With Blogger (Beta) your new blog is 'up and running' in just a few minutes. And best off all: it's totally free! You can make a choice out of several templates and customize your blog by simply adding extra features.
Oh for sure, you can find several alternatives for Blogger Beta. But in my opinion, you better choose one of the biggest, powered by Google. Not that the biggest is always the best. But i think, the bigger you are, the more you have to prove to stay the biggest. Yeah, i'm just a simple guy.
If you love spending hours and hours to design your own blog and manage your own hosting account, you probably like other blogging software like PMachine or Pivot.

A blog about building a blog
I'm fascinated about blogging. And especially the idea that you can reach millions of people a day. Okay, dream on ;-).
In the past a made several simple blogs. But as many others, i didn't have the discipline to blog every day or even every week. With just one or two visitors a day and no response, it's hard to keep your enthousiasm. Probably the content of my blogs wasn't interesting enough :-).
Now i'll try again. With BlogaBlog, a blog about setting up a blog. For me a way to experience the possibilities of web2.0 and other usefull applications, search technology, online advertising and so on. For you probably a little help to build or to customize your own blog.
Hey, i'm just a beginner. So don't laugh! I'd like to learn and to hear from experienced bloggers. But for dummies like me, this blog becomes hopefully a place to get a lot of tips and information to create an attractive and better blog with more visitors.
